On
Christmas Day, I flew from Orlando to Richmond with a stop in Charlotte. While
deboarding in Charlotte, I saw a frazzled mother with a very young baby and a
clearly "distressed" stroller. I asked her if I could help her figure
out the stroller issue. After a bit of finagling, I deemed it fixable but that
it would require more TLC than I was able to provide in the middle of an
airport. I had plenty of time to my next flight, so I asked her if I could help
schlep the stroller and her other bags to her next stop and off we went. Poor
thing felt so bad that I was going all the way across the airport when my gate
was next door, I responded that the best part of flying on Christmas was meeting
nice people along the way. Plus, not only did I get to help the mom out, but I
also got to see some pretty decorations and a nice stroll through the airport
to work the flying kinks out of my legs. Win-win!
Sending warm thoughts to Theo and you all!
